It’s the moment every team fights to avoid—but one the Yorkton Terriers now find themselves in.
Facing a 3-0 series deficit, the Terriers will look to keep their season alive tonight in Game 4 against the Flin Flon Bombers.
Despite the uphill climb, Yorkton showed flashes of life in Game 3. Goals from Tyler Palin, William Léonard, and Gabriel Courchesne provided some offensive push, but special teams and timely responses from Flin Flon proved to be the difference once again.
If the Terriers are going to extend the series, discipline will once again be a major factor.
The Bombers have made Yorkton pay on the man advantage throughout the series, scoring six times, capitalizing on key opportunities at momentum-swinging moments. Staying out of the penalty box—and finding a way to generate more on their own power play—will be critical in Game 4.
At even strength, there have been stretches where the Terriers have been able to generate chances, but finishing and second opportunities around the net will need to improve. Creating traffic in front of Charlie Tritt and capitalizing on rebounds could be a difference-maker.
There’s no shortage of belief in the Terriers’ room. This is a group that has responded to adversity before, and they’ll need their best effort of the season with everything on the line.
Game 4 puck drop is set for 7:00 PM.
