Hockey is back in Terrier Town. The Yorkton Terriers hit the ice tonight for their first of six preseason matchups as they welcome the Waywayseecappo Wolverines to the Westland Insurance Arena for a 6:00 PM puck drop.

The Terriers enter the new campaign with plenty of optimism after last season’s run to the SJHL semifinals. That playoff experience provided valuable growth for the young core, and the potential return of a large portion of that roster gives the orange and black a strong foundation to build on heading into 2025-26.

Alongside that returning group, Terrier fans will get their first look at a number of fresh faces signed over the offseason. These new additions bring speed, skill, and depth to a lineup eager to take the next step this year.

With veterans providing leadership and newcomers looking to make their mark, the preseason will be an important chance for the coaching staff to evaluate line combinations and special team units before things get going for real.

Tonight is the first step in what they hope will be another memorable season.
