The Yorkton Terriers are proud to announce the addition of Mateo Drazenovic as the team’s new Athletic Therapist for the upcoming 2025-26 SJHL season.
A graduate of the University of Manitoba, Drazenovic brings a strong educational background and extensive hands-on experience to the Terriers’ staff. Over the past two years, he has served as both Assistant and Head Student Therapist with the University of Manitoba Men’s Hockey Team, while also gaining valuable professional exposure working as a Student Therapist with the Winnipeg Jets.
Beyond hockey, Drazenovic has also worked with the FC Winnipeg Lions of the Manitoba Men’s Soccer League, where he served as Athletic Therapist during the past two summers. He holds certifications in First Responder BLS, First Aid and CPR, cupping therapy, and KT taping, giving him a wide range of tools to keep athletes healthy and performing at their best.
Drazenovic expressed his excitement about joining the Terriers organization:
“I am super honoured and excited about joining the Terriers organization,” said Drazenovic. “Yorkton has a tremendous and long history of producing amazing talent, and having some of the best fans in all of Saskatchewan. I believe that with my experience of working with university-level athletes as well as learning from the best therapists, I can bring that experience to Yorkton and help the Terriers push further than last season and make a run for the SJHL Championship,” added Drazenovic.
The Terriers are set to open training camp at the end of the month, with their first preseason game at home August 31st vs Waywayseecappo.
