It’s the eve of the 2025 World Junior A Challenge, where Thomas Ries is set to represent Team Canada West in a four-team showdown featuring Canada East, the United States, and Sweden.
When asked about the experience so far, Ries said it’s exactly what he envisioned.
“The pace is quick, and there’s not much space out there,” said Ries. “The experience so far has been great. It’s been fun getting to know some new guys and playing with them.”
Ries and his squad hit the ice tomorrow night for their first preliminary game, facing Sweden at 7:00 PM EST.
“I can’t wait for the tournament to get underway and to compete for a gold medal. It’s an amazing opportunity, and I’m really looking forward to experiencing it all.”
