Next Wave Impresses at Terriers Spring Camp

The Yorkton Terriers wrapped up their annual Spring Camp over the weekend, bringing together a strong group of young talent for a competitive few days at Westland Arena.

The camp featured five teams competing in a round-robin format, with Team Green capturing the championship with a 2–0 win over Team Red.

The weekend concluded with the Top 40 Game on Sunday night, where Team White came away with a victory over Team Black.

Head Coach and General Manager Emery Olauson shared his thoughts on the weekend:

“Spring Camp is an important step as we begin preparing for the draft and summer recruiting,” said Olauson. “We were really impressed with the level of talent that came to Yorkton to showcase themselves.

Events like this go a long way in shaping our draft list, and we expect a few of these players to push for roster spots this fall.

Overall, it was a very successful camp, and we’re grateful to the families who made the trip—especially with the tough road conditions.”

With Spring Camp now complete, the Terriers turn their attention to a busy summer of recruiting ahead of main camp in the fall.

The organization also extends a special thank you to Owls Nest for sponsoring the camp and providing meals throughout the weekend.
