Terriers Heating Up at the Perfect Time

Eight. That’s the Yorkton Terriers’ winning streak — one shy of the nine-game benchmark they set last season.

They’ve now won 17 of their last 20 games and had seven different goal scorers in a dominant 7–2 victory over the Warman Wolverines.

In the win, William Léonard moved into the SJHL goal-scoring lead with his 29th, while linemate Gabriel Courchesne picked up a goal to extend his absurd point streak to 13 games.

Alexandro Montoya turned aside 23 shots for his ninth victory of the season. He has now won four of his last five starts, allowing two goals or fewer in three of those outings.

The team is simply firing on all cylinders at exactly the right time.

Tonight marks the final meeting of the season with the Estevan Bruins — a season series that has been completely one-sided. The Bruins won the first matchup, but since then the Terriers have rattled off six straight wins.
