Tijs Vreys scored the game winner with four minutes left, while JD Hall and Maddux tallied a goal and an assist each, as the Yorkton Terriers defeated the Notre Dame Hounds 4-2. Caleb Allen was outstanding in goal making 41 saves, and Yorkton improved their record to 7-9-0-0.

The Hounds opened the scoring midway through the first period. Samuel Borschowa carried the puck into the Yorkton zone on an odd man rush, firing a shot past a screened Allen for his first career SJHL goal. The Terriers quickly flipped the script in the final minute of the frame. Lowie Vreys tied the game at 1-1 after a great individual effort, beating Tucker Inabinet glove side for his third goal of the season. 11 seconds later, Hall entered the Hounds end and wired a shot past Inabinet to make it 2-1 Yorkton heading into the break.

The Terriers had to play defence for most of the second period. Giving up four penalties, Notre Dame came at Yorkton in waves. However, it was an even strength goal that tied up the game for Notre Dame. After Allen stopped a Hound in tight, the puck slipped to Kyle Kalamaras, who popped home his first career SJHL goal to make it 2-2.

Both teams pressed for the goal ahead marker in the third period and it was the Terriers who struck pay dirt. Jackson McDonnell drove wide in the Notre Dame before throwing a pass towards the front of the goal, where Tijs Vreys jammed home with first goal as a Terrier, giving Yorkton a 3-2 lead. Maddux Nollski added an empty netter, and Yorkton snapped a six game losing skid with the 4-2 victory.

The Terriers next action is on Thursday night when they head to the Whitney Forum to battle the Flin Flon Bombers. GX 94 will broadcast the game with the pregame show starting at 7:20pm and play-by-play kicking off at 7:30pm.
