Terriers Send Kennedy to Bruins.

The Yorkton Terriers have traded Forward Cade Kennedy (’04) to the Estevan Bruins in exchange for the rights to Carter Dereniwsky and a Player Development Fee.

Kennedy has suited up for 27 games for the Terriers this season, tallying 13 points.

Head Coach Emery Olauson spoke about the transaction.

“We wish Cade all the best in his new opportunity with Estevan,” said Olauson.  “We are excited for the growth this allows some of our younger players to play a more significant role in the second half of the season. To get a chance to add the list rights of Carter Dereniwsky was important if he ever returns home to play, we would be proud to welcome him back to Yorkton,” added Olauson.

Earlier today, the Terriers moved Captain Clay Sleeva to the Melfort Mustangs.
