Preseason Terriers hockey officially kicks off this afternoon!

The Terriers welcome the MJHL’s Virden Oil Capitals to town for a 2:00 PM matinee. This is the first of a home-and-home for both clubs, as the Terriers will travel to Virden on Saturday.

The preseason schedule also includes one game against Waywayseeecappo and two against their Highway 10 rivals, the Melville Millionaires.

The Terriers lineup will look pretty fresh this year, with lots of new faces signed this summer.

They just wrapped up camp on Sunday, and Head Coach Emery Olauson is looking forward to seeing how the younger players progress through the preseason.

The Terriers can return many veteran forwards this year including four of their top scorers from a year ago.

In net, 20-year-old Ethan Farrow looks poised to build off a strong year last year as he provided the Terriers with great stability a year ago when he took over the Terriers crease midway through the year.

A guy to watch for in Preseason is Yorkton native Vinay Junek. Last year, he attended camp but spent last season in the KIJHL with the Princeton Posse and finished second in team scoring with 49 points.
