Terriers Get Win Number Twenty

The Yorkton Terriers earned their 20th win of the season after a 3-1 decision over the visiting Estevan Bruins at the Farrell Agencies Arena.

The Bruins and Terriers would remain scoreless after one period of play, as both teams would go 0-for-1 on the powerplay, while the Bruins lead the shot column 12-11.

With 3 minutes remaining in the second, Chantz Petruic would bank a corner shot off the Bruins defensemen for his 36th of the season to give the Terriers the 1-0 lead.

The teams would head to the dressing rooms with the Terriers up 1-0 after 2 periods of play.

5 minutes into the 3rd, Petruic would get one past Keenan Rancier for his 2nd of the night, 37th of the season, to make it 2-0 Terriers.

Just over a minute later, Caleb Petrie would get his first SJHL goal for the Bruins to cut the Terriers lead to 2-1.

The Bruins would hit a couple posts but couldn’t get one past Ryan Ouellette. Steven Norum would pot his 7th of the season on the empty net with 17 seconds to go.

Ryan Ouellette picks up the win in net for the Terriers, who improve to 20-14-1-0 on the season, while the Bruins fell to 11-15-2-1.

The Terriers next action will be on Saturday, December 14th when the Notre Dame Hounds visit the Farrell Agencies Arena. Puck drop is at 7:30PM.
