One of the many special things about sports is the opportunity for redemption — and the Yorkton Terriers will have just that tonight. After a tough 6-1 loss to the Melfort Mustangs in Game One on the road, the Terriers are back at it this evening, aiming to split the series before returning home to Yorkton.

In the series opener, the Mustangs took full advantage of their special teams, converting two of four powerplay chances. Meanwhile, the Terriers were unable to find the back of the net on their three opportunities with the man advantage.

Rookie goaltender Callum Creig got the start inside Northern Lights Palace, putting in a strong effort with 37 saves despite the loss. Terriers captain Jaron Desnoyers provided the lone goal for Yorkton, giving the team a bright spot to build on heading into tonight’s matchup.

Puck drop is set for 7:30 PM from Melfort. Fans can catch all the action live on GX94 or stream it on FloHockey.
