Clement Labillois made 29 saves in his first SJHL start as the Melville Millionaires shut out the Yorkton Terriers 2-0. Zach Cain and Nicolas Samson had singles for the Mils, while Caleb Allen stops 23 shots in the loss.

It was late in the first period when Melville broke the deadlock. A point shot from Ryan Bruns was tipped through Allen’s legs by Cain to make it 1-0. The goal was Cain’s sixth of the season. There wouldn’t be anymore scoring until the third period. Samson picked up the puck in the neutral and got around a defender before picking the top corner to make it 2-0. Yorkton pressed, but Labillois stood tall to earn his first career win and his first career shutout.

Yorkton will continue their four game home-stand on Tuesday when they welcome the Nipawin Hawks. The game will be broadcast on the GX 94 alternate stream with the pre-game show starting at 6:50pm and play-by-play kicking off at 7:00pm.
