The road back to the Canterra Seeds Cup begins on home ice.
The Yorkton Terriers have released their 2026-27 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League schedule, opening the regular season on Saturday, September 19th when they welcome the Estevan Bruins to Westland Arena.
The home opener marks the beginning of another highly anticipated season in the Parkland REgion and gives fans their first look at a new group looking to build on last year’s run to the Final.
One of the biggest dates on the schedule comes just two weeks later when the Flin Flon Bombers visit Yorkton on October 3rd. The matchup will be the first meeting between the two clubs since last spring’s Final.
Yorkton’s 56-game schedule features 28 home games and 28 road games, with several marquee matchups and key stretches throughout the season.
One of the toughest stretches of the season arrives in November when the Terriers embark on their annual four-games-in-five-nights road trip.
The trip begins November 10th in Flin Flon before continuing the following night in La Ronge. Yorkton then heads south for back-to-back games against the Battlefords North Stars on November 13th and 14th.
The demanding swing has become an annual test for the club and often serves as an early measuring stick as teams begin to separate themselves in the standings.
Following that road trip, the schedule becomes much friendlier for the Terriers.
Between November 27 and February 2, Yorkton will play 20 games, with 16 of those contests taking place at Westland Arena. During that stretch, the Terriers leave the Parkland Region just twice, making trips to Humboldt on December 11th and January 15th.
The favorable run includes home games against Weyburn, Estevan, Kindersley, Humboldt, Warman, La Ronge, Nipawin, Flin Flon, and Melfort, providing the club with an opportunity to build momentum on home ice during the heart of the season.
The holiday schedule is once again highlighted by a busy December at Westland Arena. The Terriers host Estevan on December 4th, Weyburn on December 5th, Kindersley on December 9th, Humboldt on December 12th, and Warman on December 16th before breaking for Christmas.
The New Year’s home-and-home series against the Melville Millionaires returns this year immediately after the holiday break, with Yorkton travelling to Melville on January 1st before hosting the Millionaires the following night at Westland Arena.
The Terriers and Millionaires will meet six times, including a home-and-home set during the final weekend of the regular season on March 12 and 13.
