The Yorkton Terriers enter the final weekend of the preseason with a home-and-home series against their Highway 10 rival, the Melville Millionaires. The two sides square off tonight in Melville before shifting back to Yorkton tomorrow evening.

It marks the first meeting between the clubs since their memorable first-round clash in last year’s SJHL Playoffs, where Tate Schofer’s overtime winner in Game 5 sent the Terriers to the semifinals.

So far this preseason, the Terriers have collected points in all three contests, carrying a 2-0-1 record into tonight’s matchup. Their latest outing was a 4-3 home victory over the Dauphin Kings.

The Millionaires bring an identical 2-0-1 preseason record, with two of those games decided in shootouts.

Fans can expect both Head Coaches to ice close to full lineups this weekend as the teams gear up for the regular season, which begins next week.

Puck drop tonight from the CN Community Centre is set for 7:00 PM.
