The Yorkton Terriers wake up this morning with an opportunity to punch their ticket to the SJHL Semi-Finals.
After a 2-1 road victory Wednesday night in Melville, they hold a commanding 3-1 series lead and are in the driver’s seat.
In Game Four, Head Coach and GM Emery Olauson turned to rookie goaltender Callum Creig, and he delivered in a big way—stopping 32 shots in his first SJHL playoff start.
The Terriers got goals from Carter Briltz, who capitalized on the power play for his first of the postseason, and David Coyle, whose late insurance marker proved critical as the Millionaires’ Jadon Iyogun scored to make it 2-1 with just under two minutes remaining.
Yorkton’s penalty kill was outstanding in Game Four, shutting down all six Melville power plays.
They say the fourth win of a series is always the toughest, but what an opportunity the Terriers have in front of them—a chance to advance to the next round in front of their home crowd, in a building that’s been electric all playoffs long.
Get here early, fans, and bring the noise! Puck drop is at 7:00 PM.
