Coyle, McIntosh Productive Day One of Showcase

It was quite the first impression for the two Terriers on Day One of the SJHL/MJHL Showcase in Winnipeg.

It started in the second game of the Showcase when 19-year-old forward David Coyle picked up a pair of assists to help SJHL U20 White defeat MJHL U20 Black.

Coyle spent most of the games on a line with Mason Bueckert (LAR) and Cole Wiren (ND).

Coyle’s next test comes this afternoon vs MJHL U20 Red at 2:00 PM.

The second representative at the Showcase is 18-year-old defenceman Anthony McIntosh.

The smooth-skating defenceman wasted no time showcasing his talent, opening the scoring eight minutes into the hockey game. McIntosh added a primary assist on the powerplay in the middle frame to cap off his two-point evening, and his efforts earned him player of the game as the SJHL U18 White held off a late charge from MJHL U18 Black for a 3-2 win.

The two teams will rematch tonight at 5:00 PM.
