The Yorkton Terriers saw their three game point streak come to an end, after a 6-1 loss to the Estevan Bruins. Caelan Fitzpatrick had a pair of goals and an assist, while the SJHL leading point-getter, Mark Rumsey, had a two point night.

The Terriers got on the board first, with Karsten Kruska batting in a Parker Jasper point shot, just 35 seconds into the contest. However, the Bruins would go on to score six unanswered, beginning with Fitzpatrick’s first of the night, the Teddy Bear Toss goal in Estevan.

The Bruins took over the lead early in the second period, when a Nolan Jones wrist shot found it’s way past Kael DePape to make it 2-1. Rumsey, and Fitzpatrick each added tallies to make it 4-1 Estevan after two periods of play.

Estevan continued to pull away from Yorkton, this time courtesy of Brandon Ambrozik and Kade Runke, to make it a 6-1 final. For Estevan, they are now 11-0 against their divisional foes, including 3-0 against the Terriers.

The Terriers fall to 9-12-0-3 and remain tied for the final playoff spot with the Nipawin Hawks. Yorkton returns to action on Friday night against the La Ronge Ice Wolves at the Westland Insurance Arena. The game will be on the GX 94 online only stream with the pre-game show starting at 7:20pm and play-by-play kicking off at 7:30pm.
