Yorkton Terriers Continue Building Defence

The Yorkton Terriers are excited to announce the signing of 2005 Defence product from Estero Florida, Tyler Palin.

Palin played his 2023-24 season at Stanstead College in Quebec, totalling 26 points in 54 games.

Head Coach Emery Olauson talks about what stood out to him about Palin, “Tyler comes from a great program in Stanstead, he was among their minute leaders and statistical leaders. His skating and ability to join the rush stood out immediately, as well he has a great shot and makes a solid first pass.” Olauson continues, “Although Tyler is coming from Florida, he has a hockey background and has been around high level hockey most of his life. We expect that Palin will make a great transition to Jr. hockey, and helps fill the void of aging out right handed defenseman Mayes and Unreiner.”

With multiple teams vying for his services, Tyler expressed why he chose to sign in Yorkton and for the Terriers, saying “The organizations reputation and history of success along with its amazing facilities made it an easy decision to sign.” What kind of player can we expect to see in September? Palin expresses “My teammates and fans can expect a guy that will give 110% effort on the ice and in the community every single day.”

Welcome to the Yorkton Terrier Family Tyler!
