On the heels of their most impressive win of the season, the Yorkton Terriers will look to follow it up with another strong performance tonight at home when they host the Flin Flon Bombers.
Last time out, the Terriers had a third period for the ages—stunning the Melville Millionaires with a five-goal outburst to complete a thrilling 6-3 comeback victory.
That game also featured a trio of firsts. Goaltender Alexandro Montoya stopped 40 of 43 shots to earn his first SJHL win, while Drew Heil and Mattias Schoffner each scored their first career SJHL goals.
Games like that can serve as major momentum builders, and the Terriers will be tested tonight against a Bombers team that enters with a 6-3 record.
The visitors are playing their second game in as many nights, coming off a 3-1 loss in Nipawin on Friday.
Last season, the Terriers and Bombers met four times and split the season series evenly—each team winning once at home and once on the road.
It’s always a treat when these two teams meet, and fans can expect nothing less tonight. Puck drop is set for 7:00 PM as the Terriers look to make it two straight wins.
