The Yorkton Terriers will look to finish their three-game road trip with a winning record this afternoon as they make their final stop in La Ronge to take on the Ice Wolves.
Yorkton is coming off a 6–3 loss to the Flin Flon Bombers on Saturday night. Gabriel Courchesne led the way offensively with a pair of goals, while Tyler Palin also found the back of the net. Callum Creig got the start between the pipes for the Terriers, turning aside 18 shots.
The Terriers enter play with a 20–12–2 record, good for third place in a tightly packed Bunge Division. Yorkton sits just two points back of the second-place Estevan Bruins and five points behind first-place Weyburn, while holding games in hand on both clubs.
On the other side, it has been a challenging season for Kevin Kominski’s Ice Wolves, who currently sit 12th in the SJHL standings with 18 points.
Today’s matchup also features a reunion, as Quinn Tavender is set to face his former team for the first time since being traded six weeks ago. Tavender suited up 57 times for the Terriers over the past two seasons and has recorded two assists in eight games since joining La Ronge.
Puck drop is set for 3:00 PM, with the game available to watch on FloHockey.
