Terriers Streak Halted in Warman

The Warman Wolverines opened the scoring early, striking just 58 seconds into the first period as Nate Crashley beat Callum Creig for his first goal of the season.

The Terriers answered midway through the frame when Gabrielle Courchesne buried his 15th of the year, with William Léonard and Brett Buckley picking up the assists. Warman held a slight 9–8 edge in shots through the opening 20 minutes.

Yorkton carried that momentum into the second period and took its first lead of the night just 1:34 in. Aidan Vallance snapped home his sixth of the season off a feed from Cash Lanigan, putting the Terriers ahead 2–1.

From there, the Wolverines responded with three unanswered goals in the middle frame. Owen Parks tied the game before Crashley added his second of the night, and Oliver Nottingham capped the scoring to send Warman into the second intermission with a 4–2 advantage.

The Terriers came out flying in the third period, cutting the deficit to one just 49 seconds in when Vinay Junek scored his ninth of the season. Warman once again had an answer, as Carter Bergen restored the two-goal cushion.

Yorkton continued to push and pulled within one when Owen Roberts finished a play set up by Austin Horbachewsky and Ryder McDonald, but the Wolverines closed the door late. Goals from Kayden Yeaman and Riley Rich-Holden in the final minutes sealed the win.

The Terriers will look to bounce back as they return home to welcome the Melfort Mustangs to town next Friday.
