The Yorkton Terriers have announced the signing of forward Dylan “DJ” Brass.
The 6’0 forward is in the midst of an impressive season with the U18 AAA Estevan Bears, registering 22 goals and 49 points in 34 games, establishing himself as a premier scoring threat in the league. Brass combines pace, skill, and offensive creativity, and has shown an ability to elevate his game as the competition increases.
Terriers Head Coach and General Manager Emery Olauson says Brass’s progression has been closely monitored by the organization.
“DJ is a player we’ve tracked closely for the past two years, and he even AP’d for us during our playoff run last season as a 16-year-old. His offensive production has been exciting, but what’s stood out most is the step he’s taken in the second half of this season. He’s emerged as one of the league’s premier offensive threats, and we’re confident his game will translate at the SJHL level.”
Brass describes himself as a fast-paced, skilled forward who thrives in competitive situations.
“I like to think my game is very high-paced and skilled,” Brass said. “Fans can expect a forward who competes every night and brings energy and offensive creativity to our lineup.”
A Yorkton product, Brass also continues a second-generation connection to the Terriers organization. His father, former Terrier Dylan Lowe, reflected on the significance of the moment.
“DJ has worked extremely hard to continue pushing his game forward. From being drafted into the WHL to competing alongside high-caliber players, each step has been an important milestone. Seeing him earn this opportunity with the Terriers is something our entire family is incredibly proud of.”
With proven production, high-end skill, and experience against elite competition, DJ Brass represents a strong addition to the Terriers’ future core as the organization continues to build toward long-term success.
