Terriers Set To Open Homestand

Home cooking. That’s what the Terriers will enjoy from now until the New Year.

They were set to play the Notre Dame Hounds last night, but the game was postponed due to inclement weather.

Tonight’s matchup against the Weyburn kicks off a mini two-game homestand as the calendar edges closer to 2025.

For the Terriers, the schedule shift is a welcome sight. Of their final 29 games, 19 will be at home—a refreshing change after spending much of the season on the road. Despite the grind, the Terriers have thrived, earning 11 road wins—the second-most in the SJHL—and securing points in 8 of their last 10 away games.

Tonight, the Terriers enter tonight’s game riding a four-game win streak, and will be the second meeting this week, and fifth of the season between the Terriers and Red Wings. Yorkton skated 4-1 victory on Tuesday in Assiniboia.

One player to watch is David Coyle, who’s been on a tear offensively. With two multi-goal performances in his last three games, Coyle is now averaging a point per game with 23 points this season. Over the last 12 games, he’s tallied 15 points, including five multi-point efforts.

Between the pipes, Ethan Farrow will get the nod for the 17th time this season. The 20-year-old boasts an impressive 11-4-1 record with a .905 save percentage. After Callum Creig’s stellar 28-save performance on the road, Farrow will look to keep the momentum going tonight.

Puck drop is set for 7:00 PM, and fans can catch all the action on FloHockey.
