YORKTON, SK: This afternoon, the Terriers welcome the Humboldt Broncos to town for their second meeting of the season.
These two teams met last Friday in Humboldt, and it was the Terriers leaving with a 6-2 win, their first victory at Elgar Petersen Arena since 2020.
For Terriers fans, it will be the first look at newly acquired Forward Keenan Ingram. The big, speedy winger was picked up in a trade over the weekend with the Weyburn Red Wings that saw prospect Ryder Woods sent the other way. Ingram has scored one goal in three games this season.
The acquisition is a glimpse of the expectations surrounding this group this season, as they come into this afternoon’s game with a perfect 5-0 record while leading the SJHL in goals.
A Look At The Opposition:
The Humboldt Broncos come into today’s game with a 3-1-1 record on the season and are in the midst of three games in three days, splitting the first two games with the Kindersley Klippers.
Jacob Strizzi and Tre Fourquette are tied atop the team, scoring six points a piece.
An area the Terriers must be wary of is the Bronco’s powerplay, as they are clipping at 30.0% first in the SJHL.
