Terriers Select Four Players in 2020 SJHL Bantam Draft

The Yorkton Hyundai Terriers made four selections throughout the 2020 SJHL Bantam Draft.

Our first selection was in Round 1, 9th Overall and with that pick the Terriers selected Defenseman Carter Herman of the Swift Current Bantam AA Broncos.

In 27 games with the Broncos in 2019-20, Carter posted 13 goals & 26 assists, and also was called up for one game with his hometown Swift Current Midget AAA Legionnaires, where he also committed for the 2020-21 season.

Carter is also a 4th Round pick of the Regina Pats of the WHL and is the brother of current Terriers goaltending prospect Jacob Herman.

In the 2nd round the Terriers selected Forward Dustin Renas out of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

In 31 games in the Saskatchewan Bantam AA Hockey League and the Saskatoon Maniacs, Renas recorded an impressive 33 goals and 34 assists in 31 games.

Renas will spend the 2020-21 season with the newly formed Warman Wildcats U18 AAA, and was also a 5th round selection of the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft to the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

The 33rd overall pick in the 3rd round belonged to the Terriers, and with that selection, the Terriers selected Forward Luke Korte out of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

In 2019-20, Korte spent the season with the West Vancouver Warriors Bantam Prep program, he put up 19 goals and 40 assists over 28 games.

Korte will spend the 2020-21 season with his hometown Saskatoon Contacts and is also a 3rd Round Pick of the Kamloops Blazers of the WHL.

Our last pick of the SJHL Bantam Draft in the 6th round 69th overall, the Terriers selected Foam Lake product  Tylan Henrikson.

In 2019-20, Henrikson posted 10 goals and 26 assists in 27 games with the Yorkton Crossfit Function Terriers.
