For just the second time in 50 days, the Yorkton Terriers will play in front of their home fans.

The last time they hit the ice at Westland Insurance Arena, it was a thrilling 7-6 comeback victory over their Highway Rivals, the Melville Millionaires. Since then, the Terriers have faced some adversity, enduring their first three-game losing streak of the season. However, they bounced back with a hard-fought shootout win on Tuesday, defeating the Notre Dame Hounds on the road in Wilcox.

Tonight marks the fourth meeting of the season between the Terriers and the Kindersley Klippers. The Klippers are making their second trip to Yorkton and are fresh off a 5-2 home victory against the Humboldt Broncos. These two teams last squared off in a back-to-back series on October 25th and 26th, splitting the games with 8-5 and 5-4 wins, respectively.

The Terriers enter tonight’s matchup with a 14-9-1 record, sitting in 5th place in the tightly contested SJHL standings, where just four points separate 2nd through 9th place. The Klippers, at 13-13-1, currently hold the 8th seed and the final playoff spot. They are led offensively by Zakary Anderson, who paces the team with 22 points.

Adding to the excitement, tonight is Teddy Bear Toss Night—fans will shower the ice with stuffed animals following the Terriers’ first goal.

Puck drop is set for 7 PM, and the action will be broadcast live on FloHockey. Don’t miss it!
