Terriers Open Weekend Set in Kindersley

The Yorkton Terriers hit the road tonight for the first of back-to-back games in Kindersley, marking the first meeting of the season between the two clubs. Yorkton took last year’s season series 3–1.

The Terriers will look to rebound after a 3–2 overtime loss in Weyburn on Tuesday, a result that snapped their three-game winning streak. Despite the setback, Yorkton has still collected points in eight of its last twelve games and sits just five points out of a top-three spot in the tight SJHL standings.

Terriers captain Tylan Henrikson has found his offensive rhythm of late, carrying a six-game point streak into tonight’s matchup with one goal and six assists over that span.

Special teams could play a major role, as both power plays are operating above 25%, ranking third and fourth in the league respectively.

The Klippers and Terriers enter the night separated by just three points in the standings, setting the stage for a competitive weekend set.
