After a six-day break, it’s finally Terrier Game Day!

The team was initially set to face off against the Weyburn Red Wings on Tuesday, but the game was postponed due to ice issues in Weyburn. The Terriers are gearing up for back-to-back road games, starting tonight in Nipawin. This marks their first visit to Nipawin this season before heading further north to take on the red-hot Flin Flon Bombers.

This is the second meeting of the season between Yorkton and Nipawin. Fans may recall their first matchup on October 11th, when the Terriers claimed a 3-1 victory. However, the win was later overturned due to a forfeit, giving the Hawks the official victory.

One Terrier to watch tonight is Keenan Ingram. The Calgary native has been in fine form, earning SJHL Forward of the Week honours after a stellar four-point weekend against Melville. At 6’4″, the power forward has quickly become an integral part of the team, particularly on the power play. His contributions have helped Yorkton maintain the league’s top-ranked power play.

A Look At The Opposition

It’s been a challenging season for the Nipawin Hawks, who sit at the bottom of the SJHL standings with a 3-14-3 record and are winless in their last four games. Finley Radloff leads the charge offensively, with 12 points in 20 games, while Carter Anderson leads the team in goals with seven. In net, the Hawks have rotated between three goaltenders—Gage Roberts, Nathan Claydon, and Tyson Endall—each with at least seven appearances this season.

Puck drop is set for 7:00 PM at “The Cage.”
