It’s another Terriers Gameday as the final preparations are underway for the final two preseason games for the boys in orange and black.

It’s been a strong preseason for the Terriers, whose focus now shifts to their Highway 10 rival the Melville Millionaires.

Tonight marks the first of a home and home back-to-back nights to close out the preseason.

The Terriers are a perfect 3-0 after a pair of wins against MJHL’s Virden Oil Capitals and defeated the Waywayseecappo Wolverines 10-2 at Cote First Nations.

In the final two games, you will see a more polished lineup that you would normally see in the regular season, as both teams are itching to kick off the 2024-25 SJHL campaigns.

Preseason standouts for the Terriers up to this point have been Thomas Ries, who Yorkton acquired in the trade that saw Xlay Sleeva shipped to Melfort. He has a pair of goals and has looked solid on the powerplay.

Another guy who has caught some eyse is Green Bay’s Bryce Dahl, who has shown his smarts and skating ability throughout the preseason.

In goal, it seems that will be one of the team’s backbones of success this year, as starter Ethan Farrow has looked sharp in the two half games he has played against Waywayseecappo and Virden. The newly signed Creig, and Madill, who will anchor the net tonight in Melville, have also had strong play, as they both battle for the backup role.

Puck drop from CN Community Centre in Melville is set for 7:30 PM and you can catch the game on FloHockey.
