The Yorkton Terriers are officially in the win column.
They battled to a gritty road victory last night in Humboldt, thanks in large part to strong contributions from their newcomers. Four of the team’s five goals came from rookies, with Brett Buckley, Zach Hertz, and Kale Johns each netting their first career SJHL goals. Vinnay Junek also found the back of the net in the win.
Between the pipes, Callum Creig was outstanding, turning aside 38 shots to secure the win.
Tonight, the scene shifts to Yorkton as the Terriers get set to host the same Broncos team, which has now dropped two straight after starting the season 5-0-0.
Puck drop goes tonight from Westland Insurance Arena at 7:00 PM.
