YORKTON, SK: The Yorkton Terriers are back home tonight for a rematch against the Estevan Bruins. The Bruins will be a determined group, looking to avenge last night’s 10-4 loss at the hands of the Terriers.
It was undoubtedly the David Coyle Show in Estevan—how could it not be with a four-goal, three-assist performance? But beyond Coyle’s heroics, the team’s depth was on full display. Twelve different Terriers recorded at least one point, including Jaron Desnoyers (1G, 3A), who is now tied for the league lead in points (59 in 39 games).
Goaltender Ethan Farrow was rock-solid between the pipes, making 39 saves to earn his 18th win of the season.
More importantly, the Terriers kept pace in the tight Viterra Division race. After leading for much of the first half of the season, they are battling to reclaim the top spot. Coming into tonight’s game, just three points separate Yorkton and the Weyburn Red Wings, with the Terriers holding a game in hand.
With only 11 games remaining —seven on home ice, every win matters. As the victories pile up, the Terriers inch closer to clinching their first postseason berth since 2022.
