The streaking Yorkton Terriers will look to keep their momentum rolling tonight in Flin Flon, as they put their three-game winning streak on the line against the Bombers. The matchup marks the start of a challenging four-games-in-five-nights road trip that will truly test the team’s depth and resilience.
Following tonight’s contest at the Whitney Forum, the Terriers will make the quick turnaround to face the Ice Wolves in La Ronge on Wednesday. After a much-needed rest day Thursday, they’ll cap off the road swing with a weekend doubleheader in North Battleford against the North Stars on Friday and Saturday.
Tonight’s meeting will be the third of the season between Yorkton and Flin Flon, with the two sides splitting their previous matchups — both played at the Gallagher Centre. The Bombers are always a tough opponent at home, where the crowd and atmosphere, and smaller ice make every shift a battle, but the Terriers will aim to carry over their recent confidence and consistency into enemy territory.
Yorkton is coming off an impressive 7–2 victory on home ice over the Battlefords, improving their record to 8–6–1 on the year. With their offence firing and special teams clicking, this demanding stretch should serve as an excellent test of the Terriers’ resolve and ability to perform under pressure on the road.
