YORKTON, SK: The Yorkton Terriers hit the road for the first time this season as they wrap up their home and home with the Weyburn Red Wings.

They kicked off the season Friday night with a bang, and Jaron Desnoyers capped off a perfect night with four goals and an assist. His linemates kept pace as well. Jeff Hammond had four assists, and William Leonard had his first SJHL goal and chipped in with two primary assists as the Terriers coasted to a 6-1 win.

Ethan Farrow stopped 28 of the 29 shots he faced, and he will get the nod again tonight as Head Coach and GM Emery Olauson looks to get his workhorse in rhythm.

A Look at The Opposition

This afternoon, the Terriers can expect a hungry Wings team in front of their home crowd for their home opener.

It will be interesting to see who leads the Wings out onto the ice this afternoon, as it was a bit of a surprise to see Angelo Zol get the nod in the season opener ahead of 20-year-old goaltender Dazza Mitchell, who is coming off a solid season posting a .916 SV% and pulling the Wings to a Game Seven against the Humboldt Broncos.

For the Terriers, they will look to spoil the festivities again; last year, they took down the Wings 3-2 in a shootout to open the season.

Puck drop from Crescent Point Place is 2:00 PM, and you can watch the game on FloHockey.
