Scoring was limited, but the Terriers snapped a three game losing streak with a 2-1 overtime win over the Kindersley Klippers. Dalton Mayes played the role of hero, while Caleb Allen stopped 27 Klippers shots for the win.

Both teams had their chances to open the scoring in the first period. The Terriers got two early looks from JD Hall and Clay Sleeva, but Cody Jaman made a pair of fine saves to deny Yorkton. Meanwhile, at the other end, Logan Linklater hit the post, before sliding the rebound into the pads of Allen. Klippers found the ice breaker early in the second period. A Brayden Koch point shot ricocheted off the back wall right to the stick of Logan Cox, who sniped the top corner from a tight angle to make it 1-0 Kindersley.

The goal stayed that way until halfway through the third period. Dylan Ruptash, moments after missing a backdoor deflection, picked up the loose puck and rifled it past Jaman for his team leading 10th goal of the season, tying the game at one. The third ended in a tie and both teams headed to overtime. Quintin Unreiner almost ended it with a bouncing shot from the point that almost squeezed through Jaman, but the Airdrie, Alberta product managed to corral the rebound while lying on his back. On the ensuing face-off, Sleeva poked the puck to the point for Mayes, who stepped to the right face-off circle, releasing a shot that found its way through Jaman, giving the Terriers a victory.

Yorkton wraps up their four game home-stand on Friday against these same Kindersley Klippers. The game will be on the GX 94 alternate stream with the pre-game show at 6:50pm and play-by-play kicking off at 7:00pm.
