YORKTON, SK: Louis Nadeau scored 4:04 into overtime as the Melville Millionaires defeated the Yorkton Terriers 3-2 to close out the preseason.

The Terriers struck first in the opening period, once again capitalizing on the power play. Vinay Junek picked up right where he left off the night before, jamming home his second goal of the preseason. Tylan Henrikson continued his impressive form, collecting his fourth assist on the play.

They extended their lead off the rush when Jake Briltz picked the top corner following a crisp cross-ice feed from Cash Lanigan. DJ Brass was credited with the secondary assist.

Goaltender Callum Creig made his preseason debut and was perfect in the opening frame, stopping all nine shots he faced. The Terriers outshot the Mills 11–9 in the first period.

In the middle frame, the lone goal came from the visitors. A loose puck found its way to Mills forward Grady Carmichael, who snapped it past a screened Callum Creig to cut the Terriers’ lead in half. The Terriers nearly restored their two-goal cushion on the power play, but Vinay Junek rang his shot off the iron.

After forty minutes, the Terriers held a 24–18 advantage in shots.

In the third period, the Millionaires drew even late when Wesley Olson redirected a Boston Harkness point shot past Creig on a 5-on-3 power play, knotting the game at 2-2.

Neither side could find the go-ahead goal in regulation, sending things to overtime for the second time this preseason.

The extra frame was wide open, with Creig standing tall to make three key saves—including a breakaway stop on Alex Morrison—to keep the Terriers alive. But the Mills eventually capitalized, as defenceman Louis Nadeau buried a breakaway chance under the bar for the overtime winner.

With the result, the Terriers wrap up their preseason with a strong 3-0-2 record and now turn their focus to the regular season, which opens next Friday on the road against the Weyburn Red Wings.
