The Flin Flon Bombers skated to 6–3 victory over the Yorkton Terriers in a high-energy, penalty-filled affair at the Whitney Forum. The Bombers’Bombers’ explosive second period proved decisive, with four goals that left the Terriers chasing the game.

Flin Flon wasted no time opening. Koen Senft opened the scoring with the assistance of Pierce Yakimchuk. Midway through the period, Wyatt Stinton extended the lead with a strike assisted by Rhett Ewen. Both teams traded power plays, but neither capitalized in the first frame. The Bombers held a slight edge in shots, 12-10.

The game exploded in the second, with Yorkton clawing back briefly. David Coyle’s power-play goal early in the period, assisted by Carter Briltz and Keenan Ingram, brought the Terriers within one. Just minutes later, William Leonard tied the game with an unassisted effort.

However, the Bombers responded emphatically. In rapid succession, goals from Rhett Ewen, Keefe Gruener, Leighton Carruthers, and Carter Cormier cooled off Yorkton’s momentum. By the end of the period, Flin Flon led 6–2, outshooting Yorkton 20-17 in the frame.

Despite the deficit, the Terriers refused to back down. Jye Zawatsky found the back of the net late in the third, assisted by Keenan Ingram and Harrison Aldridge. Although Yorkton outshot Flin Flon 14-11 in the final frame, Bombers goaltender Matthew Kieper stood tall, finishing with 38 saves.

The game saw 104 combined penalty minutes, including several fights in the third period. Thomas Ries and Anthony Piccininno both received game misconducts for fighting.

Callum Creig faced 43 shots for Yorkton, stopping 37 in a losing effort. Meanwhile, Matthew Kieper backstopped the Bombers to victory, turning aside 38 of 41 attempts.

With the loss, the Terriers drop back-to-back games for the first time all season and will look to return to the win column in Wilcox on Tuesday evening against the Notre Dame Hounds.
