Three different goal scorers struck for the Yorkton Terriers, as they got back into the win column by defeating the Melville Millionaires. Maddux Nollski, Logan Cyca and Tyson Janzen had the tallies, while Kael DePape was sharp in goal, making 24 saves.

The Terriers started the goal scoring, midway through the first period. Nollski picked up the puck at the Millionaires’ blue-line and danced into the slot, before beating Jared Thompson with a shot through the five-hole. For Nollski, it was his sixth goal of the season.

Melville responded early in the second. Nicolas Samson finished off a pretty passing play with Jake Spak and Rylan Bruns to make it 1-1. Both teams pressed for the go ahead goal, however, the goalies stood tall, combining for 19 saves in the period.

The Terriers pressed to regain their one goal lead, and in the third they would find it. Kody Norberg released a shot from the point that Thompson kicked out with a pad, and Cyca followed up the play, poking the rebound past the outstretched goalie to make it 2-1. Melville scrambled to find an equalizer, but Janzen sealed the game with an empty netter to make it 3-1 Yorkton.

For the 16th game, Yorkton out-shot their opponents, this time by a 33-25 count. The Terriers will wrap up their seven game road trip on Saturday in Melfort against the Mustangs. The game can be heard on the GX 94 online only stream with the pre-game show starting at 7:20pm and the play-by-play beginning at 7:30pm.
