Simple Shots by Jackie l Written by: Blake Friars

In the first period, the Terriers opened the scoring after a Brett O’Halloran turnover behind his own net, as Dylan Ruff wrapped home his first SJHL goal just 2:26 into the game.

The Klippers responded late in the frame, capitalizing off the rush when Avery Johnson fired a shot over the glove of Alexandro Montoya to even the score.

Both teams had one power-play opportunity but were unable to convert.
The Terriers narrowly outshot the Klippers 14–13 in the opening period.

In the middle frame, the Klippers took their first lead of the night when Mason Eggen snapped his fourth of the season short side past Montoya to make it 2–1.

The Terriers had two power-play opportunities in the period but couldn’t capitalize. Shots were even at 24–24 through forty minutes.

The Klippers added two early in the third, as Ethan Sautner and Pryce Thiessen scored just 3:37 apart to open a three-goal cushion.

The Terriers pulled back within two when Gabriel Courchesne redirected a Jye Zawatsky shot for his 11th of the season, but that was as close as they would get, as the Klippers held on for a 4–2 victory.

The two teams will meet again tomorrow night at 7:30.
