LA RONGE, SK: Last night’s 3-0 road victory on the road wasn’t pretty, but not every painting is a Picasso.

Nonetheless, the Terriers got a performance for the ages from their rookie goaltender pitching a 50-save-shutout in one of the hardest rinks to win in the SJHL, in the Whitney Forum.

The production continued from the back end as Cormier and Palin found the back of the net in the win, and they also continued their dominance on the penalty kill, going a perfect 2/2, bringing their penalty kill to an impressive 92.7%.

They continue their four-game road trip in La Ronge for the first of four meetings of the season tonight.

A Look At The Opposition:
La Ronge comes into tonight 5-5-1 on the season and is on the heels of a tough 1-0 home defeat at the hands of the Humboldt Broncos.

It’s been a slow start to the season for last season’s leading scorer for the Ice Wolves. Last season, Mason Bueckert lit it up with 62 points in 56 games. This year? It is a different story, with only seven points through the first 11.

Tonight is the only game in the SJHL, from Mel Hegland Uniplex at 7:30. You can listen in on GX94 with Benny Walchuk or watch on FloHockey.
