Terriers Begin Four Game Homestand

The Yorkton Terriers are set for another important pair of games on home ice as they return to Westland Arena this weekend.

Tonight, the Terriers welcome the Battlefords North Stars for the second time this season. It marks the fourth and final meeting between the two clubs, with Yorkton holding a 2–1 edge in the season series.

Yorkton enters the night riding the momentum of a convincing 4–1 road victory over Estevan on Wednesday and will look to continue climbing the SJHL standings. The importance of the weekend is clear, as the Terriers begin play seven points back of the North Stars and four behind the Nipawin Hawks — a team they will host tomorrow afternoon.

The Terriers will look to close out the month of January the same way they’ve played most of it: winning. Yorkton has picked up victories in seven of its ten games this month, continuing a strong stretch of hockey.

Tonight also kicks off a four-game homestand for the Terriers, who will also host Estevan for a pair of games next week. Fans will have plenty of chances to cheer on the home side, as Yorkton is set to play 10 of its next 13 games at Westland Arena.

Puck drop is set for 7:00 PM.
