Terriers Add Top Scoring Rookie From QJHL

“We wanted to add more scoring punch to our forward group and acquiring William does that. He won Rookie of the Year for Princeville and as a 17 year old and with 51 points in his rookie season transitioned very well to Jr. hockey last year. William has a nose for the net, and is a good puck distributer as well. He should be able to provide us with some top end scoring this season.”

Emery Olauson - Head Coach and GM

The Yorkton Terriers continue to make moves to add more depth to go with their returning core, by completing a trade with the Princeville Titans’.

Centre William Leonard finished his QJHL rookie season with 51 points in 48 games, bringing both speed and skill to the prairies.

Leonard is looking forward to the next chapter in his hockey career in Yorkton, saying "I’m very excited to join the Terriers, the team and staff looks amazing. I've heard only good things about the team. I’m excited to start the new season and meet new people”.

We are very happy to welcome William and his family to the Yorkton Terriers!
