Terriers Add Size in Trade With NAHL’s Hat Tricks

The Yorkton Terriers announced they have acquired 20-year-old forward David Overbeeke from the Danbury Jr Hat Tricks of the North American Hockey League in exchange for a Player Development Fee.

The 6’2 power forward adds more size to a big Terrier’s lineup.

Overbeeke suited up 23 times for the Hat Tricks this year and added one goal and three assists.

Head Coach Emery Olauson spoke about Overbeeks’ addition to the lineup and what he can bring.

“David will add great speed and strength to our forward group. He is a high-character kid who wore the C for Ridley College,” said Olauson.

“We are excited to add a player of David’s calibre to our group as we continue to push for a playoff spot and to bring Yorkton the high level of hockey our fans and sponsors deserve,” added Olauson.

Overbeeke joins Ethan Farrow, his former teammate, who was brought in via trade last month from Danbury.

Overbeeke will make his Terriers debut tonight and wear #10 on the road in Flin Flon when the team takes on the Bombers at 7:30 PM
