Terriers Add Size and Skill with Signing of Vallance

The Yorkton Terriers are proud to announce the signing of forward Aiden Vallance for the 2025-26 SJHL season.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound forward from Grand Coulee, Saskatchewan is coming off a strong season with the Yorkton Maulers U18 AAA, where he tallied 13 goals and 25 assists for 38 points in 40 games.

Vallance is no stranger to the city or its passionate fan base, having spent the past two seasons playing in Yorkton with the Maulers. That familiarity made his decision an easy one.

“I decided to sign with Yorkton because of the awesome group of guys, the coaching staff — Emery, Scottie, PL — and the belief I feel from everyone in the organization,” said Vallance. “I loved the community and their dedication to the Terriers. I can’t wait to be a Yorkton Terrier.”

Vallance got a taste of Junior A hockey during the Terriers’ 2024-25 playoff run, where he left a lasting impression on the coaching staff.

“Aiden is a kid we brought up to the Terriers for our playoff run and he quickly became a player we were excited to get in the lineup,” said Head Coach and GM Emery Olauson. “His spring up until Spring Camp was very impressive. We believe he is going to turn into a force in Junior A — he’s a big body, skates very well, and when he plays on edge he is extremely dangerous. On top of that, he is a top-notch kid who is just going to get better every day, and is a perfect fit in our locker room.”

Vallance describes himself as a 200-foot player who uses his skating to generate offense and bring a physical presence to the ice. His goals for the upcoming season are clear:

“I want to continue to develop as a player, build off the momentum we had going in playoffs, and bring a championship back to Yorkton.”

With a combination of size, skill, and character, Vallance is expected to be a strong addition to the Terriers’ roster as they look to build on last season’s success.
