Terriers Extend Win Streak to Four

In the fifth installment of the Battle of Highway 10, it was the home Terriers who struck first. Hometown native Vinay Junek burst down the left wing and slipped a shot five-hole past Matt Spencer-Dahl, scoring his eighth goal of the season.

The Mills were awarded the game’s only two power plays in the opening frame but were unable to convert. After twenty minutes of play, the visitors held a 12–8 edge in shots on goal.

In the middle frame, the Millionaires drew even as Matthew Edwards jammed a rebound past Callum Creig to tie the game. The Terriers earned one power play in the second period but could not capitalize.

In the third period, the Terriers scored a pair of goals to build their largest lead of the night. Cash Lanigan opened the scoring with his ninth of the season, beating Spencer-Dahl. Less than four minutes later, Thomas Ries found the back of the net to give the Terriers a 3–1 advantage.

The Mills pulled within one late and had a chance to tie the game on a 6-on-4 in the final moments, but the Terriers held on for the 3–2 victory.

Callum Creig stopped  34 to win his 4th straight start.

With the win, the Terriers extended their winning streak to four games and will be back in action tomorrow on the road in Warman.
