The Yorkton Terriers announced today that forward Nathan Ramos has signed a Letter of Intent for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
The Maple Ridge, British Columbia product joins the Terriers following a productive campaign with the Vancouver NE Chiefs U18 AAA program. Ramos recorded 13 goals and 31 points during the season and also showcased his offensive abilities at the prestigious Circle K Classic, collecting one goal and four assists in four games.
Head Coach and General Manager Emery Olauson is excited about what the skilled centerman will bring to Yorkton.
“Nathan possesses some great offensive instincts and is one of those players who makes the players around him more dangerous,” said Olauson. “He has scored at every level and we expect that he will adjust well to our system and make a successful jump to Junior hockey.”
The centerman said Yorkton’s culture and commitment to player development made the Terriers an easy choice.
“I was drawn to Yorkton because of the strong hockey culture, great coaching staff, and the opportunity to compete at a high level every day,” said Ramos. “I think this environment will really help me develop my overall game, become a more complete player, and continue growing both on and off the ice.”
When describing his style of play, Ramos said he models parts of his game after NHL star Mitch Marner and takes pride in being effective in all three zones.
“I’d describe my play style as hardworking, competitive, and reliable at both ends of the ice,” said Ramos. “I like to play with speed, create offensive opportunities, and bring energy every shift while still being responsible defensively.”
Ramos is excited about the opportunity to take the next step in his hockey journey and compete at the Junior A level.
“What excites me most about moving from AAA to Junior A is the higher level of competition and the chance to keep pushing myself every day,” he said. “It’s a big step that will help me grow as a player and learn more about what it takes to compete at the next level. I know there will be challenges, especially adjusting to the speed and physicality, but I’m looking forward to embracing them.”
The Yorkton Terriers would like to welcome Nathan to the organization!
