Keenan Taphorn Named Canalta Hotels SJHL Player of the Week

CANALTA HOTELS SJHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Keenan Taphorn, Yorkton Hyundai Terriers
2000 F Keenan Taphorn (Yorkton SK) helped boost the Terriers to four straight wins this past week by scoring 2-goals and 3-assists, all in the absence of linemate and league leading scorer Chantz Petruic. Taphorn’s big game was on Friday when he potted one and set up two others in a victory at Humboldt. He also scored a powerplay goal on Tuesday in a win versus Nipawin and set up a goal Monday as the Terriers downed Weyburn. Taphorn has 7-goals and 26-assists in 28-games on the year.

Terriers goaltender Matthew Pesenti was runner-up for Goaltender of the Week and Steven Norum was runner up for Rookie of the Week.
