The Terriers are set to take on their Highway 10 rivals, the Melville Millionaires, for the first time in the regular season since last year’s thrilling first-round matchup in the SJHL Playoffs — a series the Terriers won in five games.
Yorkton enters tonight having won two of their last three games, both victories coming against Humboldt. Their lone setback in that stretch was a 5-2 loss to Weyburn on Tuesday night at home. Austin Horbachewsky and Thomas Ries found the back of the net in the defeat, while Alexandro Montoya turned aside 33 shots.
Meanwhile, the Millionaires have started the season at an even .500 with a 3-3-2 record through their first eight games. Their most recent outing was a 5-3 win over the Flin Flon Bombers on home ice.
Expect a packed house tonight as the Parkland region always shows up when these two rivals clash. Puck drop is set for 7:00 PM at Westland Arena.
