Terriers Schutte for More Offence in 2024-25 With Latest Signing

The Yorkton Terriers are very proud to announce the signing of 2006 Brandon Manitoba product Quinn Schutte.

“Shoots” as his teammates called him last season tallied 13 goals, 19 assists in 39 games with the Yellowhead Chiefs U18 AAA team. The 5’11”, 150 lb forward definitely has a nose for the net. Quinn says “Ive always been a hard worker with a sense for the net, good vision on the ice and a team first mentality.”

For a lot of young players these are difficult decisions to make when deciding where to sign. Schutte explains “The Terriers organization really caught my eye during the spring camp a few weeks back. The atmosphere
and intensity of camp really showed me what being a Yorkton Terrier was all about. The arena and facility helped my decision as in my opinion one of the nicest in the league. The coaching staff and everyone else involved were professional and well organized, they took the camp seriously and were set on coming out of this off season with an improved team.”

Every athlete has a different personality, different story and each one has something different that drives them to be the best. Schutte reveals “My compete comes from wanting to prove people wrong. I've always been on the outside looking in on my teams, trying to gain my coaches approval. I am very grateful for my coaches on Yellowhead and the Yellowhead Chiefs as an organization to give me a place to play and a team culture to help me flourish on the ice and become the player that I am today.”

Yorkton and the Terriers welcome you and yours to the family Quinn
